COURSE NARRATIVE
The SPAN 301 class fulfilled MLO 1 and 2. This class helped me to improve my speaking and writing skills in Spanish. Dr. Oliva taught us about the different types of writing such us persuasive, narrative, descriptive and expository. Also, we had different readings based on the types of writings we were talking in class. In addition, we watched different types of movies and analyzed them. Some of the movies had historical content from Argentina which was really interesting because I did not know anything about history and political problems from Argentina. On another hand, we learned how to use connector words in our writings which was really helpful to improve my writing skills. Also, we had class discussions about different topics. Those class discussions were really productive because they help us to express ourselves and practice our speaking skills. For this class, we had to form groups of 2 or 3 people and present a topic in front of the class. My partner and I choose a TED talk about the Mexican journalist Jorge Ramos ( SPAN 301:Presentation). This presentation helped me feel more comfortable speaking in front of the class and improve my speaking skills. To conclude, this class provided me good tools that I can use in my future career. Also, I had the opportunity to express myself and improve my writing skills in Spanish.
The document at your right is a partner presentation of my SPAN 301 class. It is about a Mexican journalist named Jorge Ramos.
