REFLECTIVE NARRATIVE
All the courses mentioned before fullfied MLO 6. MLO 6 helped me to learn about different ways of searching for information and how to use technology. The three classes that integrate MLO 6 provided me useful tools about research, collect and analyze information to develop scholarly works. In SPAN 300, I had the opportunity to search for good quality sources to start my Capstone Project. I learned about the importance of research and the effective ways you can search for good sources. Also, I learned how to use the resources that the CSUMB library provide me and the different ways I can ask for information. Also, my partner and I completed the first steps for the Capstone Project, and we had the opportunity of collecting sources that we possibly use for our project (SPAN 300: Power Point). In WLC 300, teachers in this class talked about the classes offered by the Spanish Major and the requirements to graduate. Also, they asked us to create an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) with the help of our adviser. In addition, I learned how to create an e-portfolio where I can put evidence of my learning experiences in the Spanish Major. Furthermore, I became aware of the different schools and programs for the Spanish Major. For example, I learned about the credential program at CSUMB and the requirements I need to get for the credential and become a Middle School or High School teacher. WLC 400 provided me helpful tools to develop the Capstone project. I was able to learn about how to search and synthesize information and the different ways of using technology for my Capstone project. My partner and I developed our research questions, titles, outlines, abstracts, etc. I also learned new methods of doing research and how I can look for good sources at the CSUMB library in order to write an annotated bibliography. Another important guide to complete our Capstone project was the book The Craft of Research which gave me a lot of good information for my Capstone project. Additionally, I continued building my e-portfolio and adding information to it. To conclude, MLO 6 provided me a lot of information about my career, methods of research, analyze and synthesize information. In addition, I learned how to use technology and how to apply it on my future career.
The Power Point at your right provides you evidence of the research and readings I completed in my SPAN 300 class. Also, it has information about some of the possible sources my partner and I can use for our Capstone project.
