Directed toward Spanish majors preparing for their Capstone experience, this 2 unit course aims to guide the student in the process of completing a capstone proposal and initiating the preliminary steps toward the graduation portfolio. The portfolio provides evidence that a student is making satisfactory progress toward meeting the Core requirements and Major Learning Outcomes (MLOs) for the Spanish B.A.

Course Narrative
The SPAN 300 class fulfilled MLO 6. In this class, I had the opportunity to search for good quality sources to start my Capstone Project. I learned about the importance of research and the effective ways you can search for good sources. Dr. Gómez encouraged us to use the resources that the CSUMB library provide us and the different ways we can ask for information. For this class, I worked with my classmates in a cooperative way. We helped each other and resolved every doubt we have about the assignments. I really liked that Dr. Gómez supported us as much he could in our research process. Also, my partner in the Capstone project and I completed the first steps for the Capstone and we collected the sources that we are going to use for it (SPAN 300: Power Point). In addition, we had to write a reflection for every class and the way we work with our classmates. In this reflections we talked about the class, classmates and our process of research. Also, we had class discussions where we can shared the progress of our Capstone project and the sources we were using. Dr. Gomez had office hours where we can go and ask information about our topic or any difficulty we have looking for information. I really liked this class because we all supported each other and the feedback I received from my classmates and professor help me to better organize my ideas for the Capstone project.
