COURSE NARRATIVE
The SPAN 345 class fulfilled MLO 1 and 2. This class helped me develop my speaking, writing, reading and listening skills. Dr. Oliva provided me with a lot of information about bilingualism mainly focusing on its neurolinguistic, psycholinguistic, and linguistic aspects. This class was one of my favorites because it provided me a lot of information about the importance of bilingualism in the United States and other countries. For this class, we had a lot of reading assignments those were full of important information about language development and language acquisition. We also learned about different theories on favor and against bilingualism. On another hand, we had different class discussions and writing reflections based on the readings. Additionally, we build an e-portfolio where we incorporated all our reflections and homework assignments. In this class, we had a presentation about different topics related to Spanish language use in different parts of the world. My team and I presented about how the Spanish became in contact with English in the United States( SPAN 345: PowerPoint). To conclude, this class helped me to have a better understanding about the Spanish language and the importance of bilingualism in the world.
The document at your right is a PowerPoint presentation of my SPAN 345. It is a group presentation about the Spanish in contact with English in the United States.
